The Royal Photographic Society Scottish Region Annual Exhibition 2025
This Scottish Royal Photographic Society Members’ Exhibition brings together a rich and varied selection of photographic work, spanning portraiture, wildlife, landscape, constructed, and street photography.
Rather than dividing the images into restrictive genres or categories, the exhibition offers a more fluid and intuitive experience, one that invites viewers to journey through the critical elements of the photographic gaze.
Here, acts of looking, exploring, creating, and seeking resolution
become connective threads, weaving the individual works into a broader narrative of artistic intention and discovery.
Each photograph stands as a testament to the unique perspective of its maker, offering insight into their encounters with the world and the moments they chose to move through, hold still, and create.
When brought together, the photographs reveal more than the sum of their parts: they highlight the dynamic talents, diverse interests, and creative voices that make up the RPS community in Scotland.
This exhibition is both a celebration of photographic skill and a reflection on the many ways in which members engage with the world, through curiosity, patience, experimentation, and a commitment to visual storytelling.
